We are excited to announce that SFF Denmark is the first company in the SFF Group to install solar panels! These panels will cover 55% of our Esbjerg facility’s energy needs, marking a major step in reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

This milestone is part of a larger commitment to sustainability, as outlined in our ESG Policy. Here are some of our ambitious goals:

• 70% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG emissions by 2030
• 20% of our workforce shall be recruited from “alternative channels”
• 100% compliance with our Supplier Code of Conduct

The SFF Group recently made two sizeable donations to the foundation Sykehusklovnene (Clown Care). The first donation of 100.000 NOK was handed over to the foundation at Stavanger University Hospital (SUS). A second donation of 75.000 NOK was given in Bergen at Haukeland University Hospital.

The foundation Sykehusklovnene works exclusively with hospitalized children in Norway, bringing laughter, play and joy to the 20 hospitals they visit around the country. All the clowns working for the foundation are professional performing artists that have specialized in meeting children to provide them with a break in their daily life at the hospital.

The SFF Group is proud to support this fantastic initiative and hope that the contribution will aid their cause and mission and bring some joy and laughter into the everyday life of children at Norwegian hospitals.

Miljøfyrtårn (Eco-Lighthouse)

The SFF Group recently signed a sponsorship agreement with the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association (in Norwegian, Norges Ishockeyforbund (NIHF)), strengthening the company’s support of Norwegian ice hockey.

The cooperation began already last fall, when SFF became a sponsor of the national junior ice hockey team. According to SFF’s CEO, Tore Christiansen, the feedback was overwhelming:

– We were profiled on the national junior ice hockey team’s jerseys during the world championship in Gothenburg and received surprisingly good response. We conduct business in many countries where ice hockey has a much larger reach than in Norway, so we received a considerable portion of encouraging feedback from our international business partners.

Christiansen explains that the positive attention made the SFF Group want to enter into a new agreement with NIHF – this time supporting the men’s senior national ice hockey team.

Jan Thore Torstensen, NIHF’s manager of sponsorships, is excited about the agreement, and looks forward to continuing the work with SFF.

– We are thrilled to secure this agreement with SFF, and eagerly look forward to extending our collaboration.

SFF blir ny samarbeidspartner

The Korean branch of the SFF Group was recently awarded with the prestigious Trade Day Award.

Earlier this month, the Korean Branch of the SFF Group received an “Export Tower”, a symbol of the company’s success in the export market. The Korean team received a similar prize in 2019, but the export sales reached new heights in 2023.

Managing Director of SFF Korea, Mingyu Song, was proud of both the achievement and his team:

It is of course with great honor and pride, that we are recognized with this prestigious award, but indeed also a confirmation of what we already knew: that we are on the right track. A proud day for not only the Korean branch but also the entire SFF family!

This year’s edition marked the Trade Day Award’s 60th anniversary and was held in the Korean capital, Seoul. Over 1000 people attended the event, including the SFF Korea team, business leaders, government officials, and the President of South Korea, Yoon Suk Yeol.
